Balaton Sound: Hungary’s Hidden Gem
Looking for a European festival to go to next year?
Look no further. Balaton Sound has everything you could possibly want for a summer getaway!
Hosting a monster main stage line-up this year featuring the likes of Tiesto, The Chainsmokers and Marshmello this festival really has all the top names.
If EDM isn’t your thing then there’s plenty of other options to opt for. This year’s brand new venue, The Club, debuted with great success hosting techno greats such as Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and Matador. The Club comes with an Ibiza feel and a terrace on the edge of the lake, what more could you ask for?
Elrow also hosted a stage at the festival with all of the weird and wonderful audio-visual production we’re used to seeing from them. The Elrow arena's design was amazing, it blew your mind every time you walked in! That combined with a huge funky techno line-up featuring Camelphat, Jamie Jones and Claptone made this stage one to remember.
Even if you aren’t into electronic music as such there’s a wide variety of Rap and RnB artists that are represented at the festival, Future being the main highlight as he played the main stage this year whilst the sun set over Lake Balaton. Denzel Curry also blew the roof off a packed Dreher Arena on the Friday night, if you're a rap fan you won't be disappointed by Balaton Sound!
When you’re all partied out there was plenty of places to go and get some downtime. Whether that be at the VIP Shore to rest your head on the four-poster beds or to Casa Bacardi to base yourself in the forest-themed chill out area. One of the best things about this festival is of course Lake Balaton. There’s nowhere better to relax and watch the sun go down than over the famous Hungarian lake.
Sun, good vibes and all of the best music from around the world.
Why wouldn’t you want to go and visit Balaton Sound in 2020?
