Normally, it goes without saying that you should keep your car windows up when visiting a safari park.
And while the chances of getting ripped limb from limb by a giraffe might appear incredibly slim, the video of an incident which occurred at West Midland Safari Park has shown why it's not the brightest of ideas.
A giraffe can be seen bowing its head into the open window of a silver car in the footage, which was recorded from another vehicle.
Panicking, one of the passengers decides to wind the window up, trapping the giraffe's head momentarily. After a second or two, the window's glass shatters, and the animal appears to flee.
The giraffe, named Strider, was not hurt in the incident after being checked over by staff. West Midland Safari Park have since confirmed they are investigating the matter.
