For many men a luscious head of hair is the key to confidence.

Silly really, since science has definitely proven men with no hair appear more virile and masculine. This week, research conducted by a bald bloke named Albert Mannes from the University of Pennsylvania has confirmed it once and for all. In the study, more than sixty participants were shown pictures of both bald and non-bald men and asked them to rate the men in the pictures based on perceived power, influence, and authority. Unsurprisingly, the men with shaved heads routinely ended up at the top of the list. The masculinity that comes with balding isn't free however. According to the same study, an increased perception of masculinity comes with "diminished attractiveness" if you don't have the confidence to pull it off.
