The incident happened on the final day as riders neared the finish line.

A support vehicle lost control during the Tour de Yorkshire race as it was following the cyclists towards on the home stretch towards Leeds. The car crashed through a traffic island and was very close to hitting volunteer marshall Phillip Sullivan. Sullivan had to dive out of the way of the fast-approaching vehicle and was fortunately not injured in the accident. He said he was shaken but unhurt afterwards according to the BBC. https://twitter.com/bbclooknorth/status/993172025463267328?s=12 Olympic champion Greg van Avermaet won this year's tour, which was started after the county hosted the Tour de France in 2014. He finished 34 seconds ahead of his competitors and remarkably rode the last 120km solo without teammates.
