It appears Apple have patented a new headphone jack for their devices, sparking rumours that they are replacing the classic, rounded socket.
The new jack would be smaller than the current input hole - allowing Apple to make an even thinner, more compact iPhone.
The downside of this rumoured development is that it would render your current expensive headphones obsolete when it comes to using the new iPhone.
Apple, which owns the Beats by Dre brand, would surely make a killing by selling a rack of new headphones to go with their new phones.
