Woman details how ‘super creepy’ man texted her after taking phone number from her dog’s collar at park

A woman has been left stunned when she got a text from a man who had taken her phone number from her dog's collar. The anonymous woman took to Reddit to share screenshots of the bizarre texts from the man. In what is certainly a unique chat up line, the man writes: "Hey, I got your phone number from your dog's collar. "Thanks for letting me pet her. We should hang out. :)" Unsurprisingly, the woman doesn't decide to humour him with a response to the incredibly creepy text. Clearly not understanding why people put their phone numbers on their dog's collar, the man changes his tone, asking: "Why do you even have your number on her collar if you don't want people to text you? The messages left many on Reddit dumbfounded, with one person saying: "Guy is very confused on what the number is for."
Another said: "Oh, I don't like this."
A third joked that the man had "meant to text the dog."And some claimed similar things had happened to them.
One person said: "I had that happen to me in Austin [Texas]. It was super creepy."
Another person added: "WAIT GUYS ACTUALLY this is a huge deal. Some men will memorise your address and phone number and stalk you.
"If you're getting bad vibes or they're looking at your dog's collar for a bit too long - you need to leave."
