While Apple users may be wary of carrying a paper-thin phone in their pocket, the new iPhone's functionality is expected to be significantly improved. It will run on iOS 9 with a stronger battery life and quicker apps and notes.
Apple have also said that Siri will become more proactive in recognising your behaviour. We can only speculate that this will lead to the inevitable rise of Skynet.

One of the main rumoured additions though is the inclusion of 'Force Touch' which, as any Mac user will know, detects how hard you're pressing the touch-pad thus allowing different actions to be carried out according to the pressure exerted.
One rumour that we hope to be true when the final model is announced is the use of sapphire glass for a scratch-resistant screen.
