Andrew has previously worked with a family that had to flee their home due to a rat infestation, reports the Norwich Evening News.
In a separate incident, a woman had discovered an enormous rat swimming in her toilet bowl.
“She’d been using the bathroom and heard a noise. She looked down, and it was in the toilet bowl. And this is happening more and more frequently,” Dellbrdige said.
“They used to work around us but now they’re gaining access they wouldn’t have attempted before.”
He has had to employ more staff to address the growing rat problem, which he puts down to “overflowing bins”.
He continued: “Because of the throwaway culture we have the rubbish is just piling up and feeding them.
“Rats are letting themselves into people’s houses and businesses.”
The rat catcher has urged people to keep their toilet lids closed and also to plug any holes that could lead into your house, especially garages, sheds and windows.
Infestation control team Triangle Pest has suggested keeping food constantly covered, including waste bins both inside and outside the house. They also suggest trimming foliage from around your home to prevent the rats from setting up shop.
But if all else fails, then call a professional to deal with them, as the last thing you want is a rodent the size of a cat lunging at you.
