Emily Ratajkowski says she’s done with dating men who can’t handle a strong woman

Emily Ratajkowski has said she is over dating men who might feel emasculated by strong women.
The model, who recently broke things off with Pete Davidson after two months of dating, revealed on her podcast High Low with EmRata that she is tired of men who don't know how to handle a powerful lady.
Speaking to guest Olivia Ponton on the episode, Ratajkowski said: "I have always felt like I’m a strong woman, but obviously as you get older, you really don’t need a man."

The model, author, and podcaster then revealed that she has previously been told by men that they fancy a strong woman, only for them to not "know how to handle it."

"Men have said, 'I like independent women. I want somebody who doesn’t need me'," she said.
"I feel like a lot of men who truly think they want a strong woman actually don’t know how to handle it and they don’t know what it means for their own identity.
"The strength and the power is associated with the masculine, and once a woman has that, a man doesn’t know what else he has."
She added: "But I’m like, 'How about you just be better at expressing your emotions and being there emotionally? That would be great.'"
In October, Ratajkowski posted a TikTok in which she implied she was bisexual and in an interview with Harper's Bazaar she described sexuality as a "sliding scale", adding that she doesn't "really believe in straight people."

“There might be competition … but it doesn’t feel like somebody’s taking something away from someone else," she said.
She added: “I’m like, OK, I did it, wow...What I hate with dating men, in particular, is I feel like they’re like, ‘OK, yes. You’re special. You’ve done it'.
“They love it, then slowly they get emasculated, and they don’t know what to do with those feelings. And then they resent you and then they start to tear you down. And then you’re just back to square one.”
Ratajkowski is currently a member of the elite, application-only dating app Raya, and has received requests from both women and men.
In particular, she says the direct requests from women are "exciting," but she isn't hopeful of finding love on the app.
"I do feel like this app is very white, and it feels like a particular type of man and a particular type of woman", she noted.
"So I don’t know if I’m going to meet my lady crush on here."
