Best-selling ‘incredible’ Lego set gets rare discount for a limited time

The 6,000-piece LotR Rivendell collectible set has been given 15% discount, dropping to £365.49, which marks its lowest price in months.

This makes the set even cheaper than the official Lego website, where it's currently priced at it's RRP of £429.99.

The highly detailed set includes 6,167 pieces to create the House of Elrond, alongside 15 minifigures.

They include legendary characters such as Frodo, Sam, Bilbo Baggins, Boromir, Gimli, Aragorn, Legolas, Elrond and Gandalf the Grey.

Fans can create the Council of Elrond and seat the minifigures around the stone on which the One Ring is placed, then explore familiar interiors, such as Frodo's bedroom and Elrond's cluttered study.

It features references to the film trilogy including an elven forge, the Shards of Narsil, plus paintings and statues from the history of Middle-earth.

Those who have tried and tested The Lord of the Rings set have given it an average rating of 4.8 stars on Amazon.

One customer described it as 'one Lego set to rule them all' in their five star review.

"It's a beast of a Lego set but beautiful to build and such great detail. My wife and I are obsessed by it. It’s an investment, financially and in time but so worth it!" they added.

Another noted the Amazon deal, writing: "I have had my eye on this Lego Rivendell set since it launched to rave reviews. I waited for a deal and a recent great one here was enough to get me to bite.

"I believe this one is going to be very collectable and sure to have been scrabbling for it once no longer made.

"The set looks fantastic, an absolute masterclass in how good Lego can look and will be the new centerpiece on my living room display shelf."

While a third said: "The most incredible Lego set I've ever built! This took me a couple of days to build and I enjoyed every second! This has been my dream set for a while and it was sort of surreal to finally get to build it."
