A viral tweet is resulting in people accidentally destroying their microwaves

To fully understand why people are, for whatever reason, blowing up the microwaves in their homes because of a tweet, we first need to go to Japan. Last month, this video was released and has since gone viral (over 2 million views and counting), which shows you how to take a normal ball of tin foil and turn it into a perfect shiny ball. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKz5lCGMf5Q   It basically involves getting some normal tin foil, and putting a hammer to it, and then some polish. Quite why anyone would actually WANT a perfectly shiny ball of tin foil, we're not 100% sure of, but we'll leave that question for another day.
