Your smartphone could be causing your skin outbreaks

Keep it clean

Your smartphone could be causing your skin blemishes and ache outbreaks according to a leading dermatologist.

Speaking to Tech Insider, Dr. Erin Gilbert said: “Our smartphones are a really big source of skin contamination, and they’re a source of skin problems, namely acne.”

This is because smartphones are hives of bacteria, with the majority of it being relatively harmless, and most of it already on your skin already.

But when you add some of the bacteria from your phone along with oil, dust and other things that build up on your phone to the skin on your face, it can contribute to clogging your pores.

According to Dr Gilbert, this can lead to inflammation of the skin and this is “why people are getting ache from their phone.

There’s one straight forward way of solving this problem: you can simply give your phone and its cover a thorough cleaning, preferably with antibacterial wipes.

Just take your phone out of it’s case now and study it… we bet it’s filthy.

But on a side note, do be careful when cleaning your phone, as some manufacturers advise against using cleaning wipes or products with alcohol in them.
