If you’re out and about this weekend you’ll come across Halloween costumes that have drawn inspiration from a range of different sources.
As well as the classics (witches, vampires, cats etc.) there’ll be plenty of topical costumes based on hit TV shows or major events that have happened throughout the year; expect to see a lot of Donald Trumps and Sexy Brexits, for example.
But some people prefer to have a more inside joke. Maybe they've got a nickname that only a few people know about, or they decide to dress up as their favourite character from an obscure indie film. Or maybe they're joke is even more specialised - like a reference their dog would get.
We're going to go ahead and assume that not many people decide to dress up as their dog’s favourite toy. But one man was brave enough to do just that and, thanks to the reaction of his best friend, the video has been going viral in recent days.
It would take a heart of stone for this not to elicit even a small smile. We think there’s something in our eye…
