WATCH: Eminem’s sign language interpreter is a faster rapper than he is

Officially a rap god

You’ll be watching this one a few times

Rappers often use American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters during their live concerts but a recent performance of Eminem’s ‘Rap God’, from 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, shows just how difficult their job can be.

Well, for mere mortals. Not for Holly Maniatty, sign language extraordinaire, who absolutely nails the performance to the extent that is unclear whether the crowd are actually going bonkers for her or for Eminem.

And if that wasn’t enough, this is her performing Wu Tang Clan’s banger ‘Bring Da Ruckus’ during Bonnaroo Festival all the way back in 2013.

Holly has since described the incredible performance on CBC radio: “I’d have to say at the Wu-Tang show it was one of those moments where I saw the deaf patrons like, bouncing with everybody; the beat was dropping and they were in it.”

“They were having a great time and just that experience of them accessing it at the same time as everybody else was definitely one of my favorite moments.”
