Anthony Morse from Lamar, Colorado in the US tweeted it out on Christmas Day and it has quite understandably gone viral.
It shows Anthony’s father opening his present from the whole family, and rather than the customary pair of socks or wallet that most dads receive, it’s a whole lot more meaningful.
As Anthony explains: ‘My dad hasn’t seen his mom in 8 years and she doesn’t have much time left so we got him plane tickets to go see her.’
The reaction is incredibly moving, and makes a poignant change from all the ‘wrong iphone’ and #hatemyparents messages you see at this time of year.
