This guy got majorly trolled by Mercedes after asking for a free car

It was worth a go

There’s a current trend on Twitter of people asking major companies how many retweets it would take to get some free stuff.

It all started with a guy in America asking Wendy’s how many retweets he’d need to get for a year’s supply of free chicken nuggets.

“18 million,” came the reply. So far he’s got 3.2 million, making it the second most retweeted tweet behind that Ellen DeGeneres Oscars photo.

Lots of people have been trying their luck with brands trying to score free shit, but 20-year-old Abdinoor from Maine, USA thought the was on to something when he messaged Mercedes.

As you can see, he got off to a good start, but was still a good 19.9 million retweets away from his desired goal.

Mercedes then went ahead and decided to generously gift Abdinoor the car he wanted.

Except, obviously, this wasn’t the case.

Which Abdinoor eventually realised.

While Abdinoor is right – it is a really bad joke indeed, man – we can’t imagine Mercedes are going to take too much heat for this.
