This anti-advent calendar is perfect for the Christmas-hating misery guts in your life

Have a not very merry Christmas

Rich Cooper

You might have noticed Christmas stuff appearing in the supermarkets already this year.

Feels like it gets earlier and earlier every time, but if you love mince pies and Christmas pudding, October is a perfectly reasonable month to start ushering in that Yuletide feeling.

It’s not for everyone, though. Some people just aren’t a fan of Christmas. Some people actively hate Christmas. But there’s something for everyone at Christmas, even for these mistletoe miseries.

Presenting: the Anti-Advent Calendar.

The Gruesome Christmas Anti-Advent Calendar comes to you from Pechkeks, the people who made Misfortune Cookies. They’re like regular fortune cookies, but instead of a piece of wisdom or advice, the messages are all on the more miserable side of life.

As you would expect with an advent calendar, there’s one for every day leading up to Christmas, and if you’re dreading that particular date, what better way to lead up to it than with little snippets of misery each day?

It costs £27.99 and is available from October 16. So if you know a grumpy guts that hates everything festive, see if this won’t warm their Christmas cockles.
