The South London town has been home to more than 100 adult movies, with at least one filmed in the town centre in broad daylight.
And councillor Trish Fivey has spoken out about the “absolutely disgraceful” decision to film scenes near where families walk their children to school, the BBC reports.
According to the Daily Mirror, the town has played host to at least 128 adult films, many filmed by production company ‘Fake Taxi’.
Many locals seemed unaware of their hometown’s dubious status, but we have since seen a bizarre display of pride.
