The scaffolder building gym equipment during lockdown
"If I can build it, they can have it"
Joe Jackson is a scaffolder in Carshalton and like many of us has seen his daily life and work interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic happening right now.
But in an ingenious move, Joe has decided to take his skills with scaffolding and help people who are missing out on the opportunity to exercise as they normally would.
Starting out by building some homemade gym equipment for his friend, Joe is now building whatever his customers can dream up, providing it can be built with scaffolds.
We spoke to Joe about his endeavour, which has seen him build custom football goals, golf nets, monkey bars and pull up bars for his customers.
“If I can build it in scaffolding, they can have it. It’s as simple as that.”
