You’re never too old to party.

‘Fabric’ is one of the best known nightclubs in London. Founded in 1999, it has grown to be the ultimate destination for visitors and locals looking for a bop.

WetYourSelf is a club night run in the Islington venue which has been going for seven years and was founded by Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley who wanted to make something different to the clubbing clichés that were on offer at the time.

They certainly attract a wide range of customers – as this story from co-founder Jacob Husley posted on his Facebook page can attest.

A Polish couple in their 70s purchased tickets for last Sunday’s event after reading a positive review of the venue in a newspaper and were planning on getting the Tube home at 6am.

As Jacob writes, they were offered a free bar for the night but decided to stick to cups of tea after the first round of tequila shots.

Legendary.

His full Facebook post reads:

“This amazing couple came to WYS! At fabric last night, both in their late seventies, had purchased tickets online in Poland, after reading a club review of fabric in the newspaper. They came when doors opened, and had already planned to take the tube home when it finished at 6am. I told them they had free bar, 2 shots of tequila to start , but after that asked if they could have cups of tea smile emoticon they were on the dancefloor doing ballroom type dancing, although not too long as she was using a crutch and didn’t walk to well… They stayed until 5am and we convinced them to take our offer of a free taxi home instead of waiting for the tube. They said they had a great time and loved the crowd and vibe…what an amazing couple … so much humour, love and playfulness between these two …our bodies might age but our souls are timeless. LOVE!”

Commenters were also delighted at this story, and it just proves that getting “old” is a relative term.
