A tattooist has come under fire after revealing how much she can charge her clients for tiny tattoos.
London-based tattoo artist Vivien Szincsak specialises in vegan fine-line tattoos, and regularly shares some of her work with her followers on her TikTok page (@nothingsrs).
Last month, a curious follower asked how much she charges for "small fine line tattoos (2-3cm)."
She responded with video saying that she "minimum charge is £100 for something tiny and simple," adding that "if you book in for multiple you get a bundle price."
She clarified in the comments that £100 is her minimum price for an hour-long session, and that the inkings in the video were "added to other tattoos in the same session."
Questioning the three-figure price, one person commented under the video: “I think my tattooist would charge like £30ish, I'm paying £60 for an addition to my current tattoo on my leg, she's not even charging me of the colour.”
But Vivien explained that even for a "tiny" tattoo she still has to "book out a 1-hour slot min," so that she has enough time to "decide on the placement etc.”
Meanwhile, a fellow tattooist said she should base her pricing off the "detail and time it took to do it."
Vivien responded: “But everyone has a minimum price and I did research to put mine in between cheap and expensive."
Others labelled the price "laughable" and "crazy."
But many took to the comments to defend the Londoner's pricing.
One wrote: “You don’t get your nails done for £30? Mate how on earth do you expect an artist to do a permanent piece of art on you for £30.”
Another said: “Look they gotta set everything up the same whether it’s a heart or a half sleeve, all of that costs so much and can’t be reused.”
A third wrote: “Guys it’s a charge for the kit too. the kit costs money and they use a new one each (sic) time.”
