Study shows that the youngest sibling of the family is the funniest

The youngest siblings are funnier, more relaxed and more favoured by your parents, according to a new study.

The research, carried out by YouGov, revealed that the youngest child also feels more easy-going while the oldest sibling feels a greater sense of responsibility, more successful and more family-orientated. The study interviewed siblings, rating their own perceptions of where their sense of humour, responsibility, organisational and self-confidence ranked compared to their brother or sisters. The study also found that the personality trait divide was even stronger when there was more than one child between the oldest and youngest in the family. According to the results: “The most significant difference is in feeling the burden of responsibility – most (54 per cent) first borns say they are more responsible than their siblings, compared to 31 per cent of last borns. “Younger siblings, on the other hand, are more likely to say they are more funny (46 per cent compared to 36 per cent of elder siblings), more easy going and more relaxed.” Catch up with the latest episode of Football Friday Live:
