‘Poo shy’ fetish model didn’t go to the loo for so long she passed out on the job

‘I was totally poo shy I’d never discussed my poo with anyone’

A fetish model who refers to herself as being “poo shy”, has claimed she passed out on a photoshoot after not using the toilet for two weeks.

Emmerald Barwise has been modelling professionally for over eight years, but has struggled to stay comfortable on set due to her fear of taking bathroom breaks.

While everyone has to go number 2, not everyone is happy to let everyone know they’re off to take a dump. And it’s this embarrassment that’s meant Emmerald hasn’t felt like she could nip away to the toilet while working away from home.

At times, Emerald claims she has had to hold on for up to two weeks at a time.

The issue left the 36-year-old suffering from extreme bloat, and left her looking “pregnant” , and feeling “horrible” during lingerie shoots.

The model, from Wrexham, hasn’t had a proper poo routine for as long as she can recall, and it was only after a girlfriend pointed out that her behaviour “isn’t normal” that she sought help.

Well, sort of. And in a very public way.

She replied to advert for participants on the Channel 4 TV show ‘Know Your S**t: Inside Our Guts’.

Talking about her issues, Emmerald admitted they have “definitely affected my job”.

“I’ve passed out before on shoots where I’ve been wearing corsets and I’m sure it was due to my issues because it hasn’t happened since being on the show. ”

The model said she was  “totally unaware” that most people poo every day, sometimes more because she had “never discussed my poo with anyone”.

Emmerald believes her fear of defecating, hasn’t been helped by her ADHD and autism, saying it made her “just made that poo shyness times 10.” And it taught her body to “not recognise when [she] needed the toilet”.

Since appearing on the programme Emmerald is now far more regular, and has a more positive attitude around pooing.

“I am still a bit poo shy however being on the show Know your S**t with Dr Sophie Medlin and the Mac twins really really helped me. “It really has changed my life.”
