With second-choice goalkeeper Martin Dubravka cup-tied, it's likely that Loris Karius will make his first competitive appearance for an English club since Liverpool's 2018 Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid.
Despite being the third choice at the Magpies, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has faith the German can come good for him on the big stage.
"He has the experience of the big games. I have no doubt or issue about his ability to do that," Howe said.
"I have no doubt he and Mark are both in a great physical condition to play. They have all been part of our training."
