Thomas Edison deserves our sincerest gratitude for inventing the light bulb, but one thing he didn't consider is what it's like to turn one on when you've just woken up in the middle of the night.
We've all been in that horrible situation when you need the toilet at 2am, but those evil beams feel like they're burning holes in your peepers.
Step forward, US inventor Dave Reynolds, who deserves a medal for introducing the world to the glow-in-the-dark toilet seat.
"I went to the bathroom one night and literally fell off the toilet in the dark," says Reynolds, revealing the brilliant inspiration behind his creation in this video.
