Neighbour sends painfully awkward note after hearing ‘very loud’ sex

Look, here’s the thing: when you’re living in an apartment block, an old house or anywhere in very close proximity to other people, it’s inevitable that your neighbours will hear some unwanted noises.

Likewise, there is some give and take and at times you’re likely to be woken up by the rumblings and grumblings of those nearby. And of course, you do the adult thing and completely ignore them so that you can continue on your day to day life and smile pleasantly at your neighbour as he offers to trim your hedge. It’s the grown-up thing to do. But for one sleep-deprived neighbour, the never-to-be-acknowledged-noises became too much and he was forced to leave the most awkward note for a rambunctious resident. Reddit user saved_by_Singularity shared the note which begs for the recipient to tighten the screw on his bed. Fellow users were impressed with the request. “I'd almost feel a little proud for having received that letter,” writes one user. While others praise the neighbour for his friendly approach. “Well this is a really tasteful letter. A lot of people would have taken the opportunity to be aggressive or passive aggressive. Sounds like an alright neighbor to have,” writes a commenter. “Sounds like a bro. Go have a beer with him,” comments another. And despite the awkwardness, the author of the note is deemed “the most polite neighbor in the world.
