We all know the New Year is a time of resolutions and health kicks. But some of us struggle more than others and in an age of too much online information (and misinformation) it’s hard to know where to turn.
Is protein the goal? Should we count calories? Is gluten bad for bloating? It’s almost overwhelming.
But a mum of three managed to lose over five stone and drop four dress sizes without even counting calories.
Danielle Broadway has revealed her weight loss after using a method known as intermittent fasting and using an AI-powered app called Simple to lose the weight.
Using the personalised plan and with the help of an AI assistant Danielle lost over three stone in the first five months and looks unrecognisable after losing over five stone since beginning the journey.
Mum of three Danielle (30), said: “My gut health has always been bad. I always felt bloated. I hated the way I felt on a daily basis.
“My main goal for starting out with intermittent fasting was I just wanted to feel better. If I lost weight that would have been a huge bonus for me. My skin - I was always breaking out and I just never felt great. I was ready to try anything.”
Danielle started to use the Simple app that allowed her to track her water intake and see how long her fast was going. Using the community to ask questions, she has been staggered by the results.
She said: “The first three days was the hardest because I was putting my body into shock. I was cutting out a lot of things that I was eating that wasn’t good for me. The app gave me recipe recommendations that worked and I ended up dropping 42 pounds in five months.
“I changed nothing about my lifestyle but I ate better. I felt amazing. I had all of this sustained energy. My skin hasn’t been breaking out and I feel amazing.”
Danielle has since lost 72 pounds (5 stone 4 lbs) using intermittent fasting and has dropped from a size 20 to a size 12.
The secret to the success, says Danielle, is the use of AI to help her keep on track via the Simple app.
“It doesn’t really feel like AI. It feels like you’re talking to a real life person. I had a lot of questions and he answered every single question I had.
“I don’t really know anybody who is on the same journey as me so having that AI coach right there anytime I needed probably helped me more than anything.”
The Simple app has been downloaded 17 million times and is currently 60% off. The app includes access to personalised daily workouts, science backed coaching, nutrition analysis and Avo the AI coach.
