Nathan Peterson has designed a machine that does something we've all been crying out for. Cure all illnesses? Turn coal into diamonds? No - sort Skittles by colour!
The reason is simple - just because.
The colour sensor system uses LED lights to detect the colour of the Skittles, and then a system of rotating gears drop it into a corresponding tray.

And before you ask, no it doesn't work for M&Ms - according to Peterson the chocolate delights are "a bit smaller and get jammed easier".
