I donated a kidney to my boyfriend – then he brutally dumped me

There can be fewer more selfless gestures to a partner than donating part of your body to them, and you'd hope that if you did commit to something as significant as this, your partner would be eternally grateful. But one woman has explained how her ex was quite the opposite after she went under the knife for him. Colleen Le told the story to her thousands of followers in TikTok in a series of videos that have racked up millions of views and likes. She explained how she made the decision to have the procedure to save his life.

Her boyfriend had always been upfront about how he'd been struggling with chronic kidney disease since his later teens, a condition that meant he had to be on dialysis because his kidneys functioned at just five percent of the average capacity. She explained: “I decided to get tested to see if we were a match because I didn’t want to watch him die.” It turned out she was a match, and so Colleen decided to donate her kidney to him. The surgery was a success and both made a full recovery. But instead of being eternally grateful to his partner for the amazing gesture, he ended up cheating on her seven months later. In a follow-up video, she explained that her ex told her he was going to Las Vegas for a bachelor party with some mates from his church. The TikToker was doing exams at the time and her boyfriend was a 'hardcore Christian' so she didn't think anymore of it. But he then confessed to cheating whilst in Vegas. “A lot of arguments later, I eventually forgave him and gave him a second chance,” she said. But three months later, the guy brutally dumped Colleen over the phone. She claims he said: “If we are meant for each other, God will bring us back together in the end.” It gets worse as well, with Colleen claiming he then blocked her on "every social media" and stopped answering her calls and texts for months.

Needless to say, her videos left viewers absolutely reeling “You have THE biggest heart and he didn’t see it,” one replied. “His loss.” "I wonder if he understands the seriousness of donating a kidney," another added. “You literally sacrificed your life for someone. You are a beautiful soul!” Meanwhile, a third wrote: “A part of you will LITERALLY always be with him. “Whatever scar it left him will be a constant reminder forever.
