Survey reveals the outfits that get the most Tinder matches

No, it's not "nothing at all"

Online dating has grown massively in the last few years thanks to Tinder.

The app alone, has an estimated 50 million users worldwide, but as many of you will know, there’s no guaranteed formula to guarantee a successful match or a date. But there are a few things you might be doing to ruin your chances in the game of ultimate first impressions.

It doesn’t matter how good looking you are (okay, maybe there are some exceptions), your style might be causing you to lose some valuable matches, according to a survey by HTC, which says that, for example, man buns are one of the the biggest reasons why women swipe left.

On the other hand, women were more likely to swipe right for those men that wore suit jackets and skinny jeans the most. In all, 38% of the ladies surveyed also said that blue was the colour that they preferred on men.

When it comes to what men want to see, girls wearing their gym gear ranked the highest and red was the most eye catching colour – almost the polar opposite to what women were looking for.

So, if you’re looking for a woman, whack on a blue t-shirt and a blazer, and you might just be improving your chances of getting a date, while if you’re after a man go for a fiery red work out trackie. As ever, though, this makes things a bit tricky for any bisexuals out there.
