Surely there’s only one thing worse than missing out on a lottery jackpot – having your ex’s parents scoop the multi-million pound prize.
That’s what happened to Grant Robinson, a Scotsman now living in Canada.
Robinson used to go out with Lisa Martin, whose folks David and Carol are celebrating a £33m win after matching their numbers in Saturday’s record-breaking draw.
And his pals have been quick to give him a ribbing about the near miss.
According to the Daily Mirror, Robinson and Martin split up several years ago and are now living in separate countries (she is in Australia).
At least Robinson has seen the funny side – his Facebook profile photo is a zoomed out version of the same image.
