Elon Musk says he has ‘no idea who the CEO’ of Twitter is after being sent a company auto-email

Even the world’s richest man has to earn his way into the top spot of company, according to automated systems.

Elon Musk was sent an email from Twitter telling him “it’s time to start managing @Twitter 101,” in reference to a training course about “what it means to be a good manager at Twitter.”

It came days after he finally took control of the social media platform in a $44 billion (£38 billion), deal that took months to close after the billionaire attempted to walk away – he ended walking into the building with a porcelain sink in hand.

However, despite the aforementioned drama  that brought Musk into the company, he tweeted on Sunday: “Just received this email from Twitter. This is an actual, real email that was autogenerated.”

He joked: “So demanding to allow a mere 30 days to learn this priceless information! But Management 201 is such a tantalizing carrot.”

A user responding to his tweet asked who the CEO was. Musk responded: “My title is Chief Twit right there in the bio. No idea who the CEO is.”

This comes after Musk claimed he had nothing to do with Kanye West‘s Twitter account being reactivated just hours after he took over the social media platform.

The rapper was banned from Twitter earlier this month after posting antisemitic statements, including a now-deleted tweet sent October 8. The ban was the start of a monumental plummet from super-stardom for the rapper, now known as Ye. He’s lost a bunch of major deals since, dropping $2 billion in net worth in a single day.

After Musk’s takeover social media users noticed Ye’s account was back up and running.

Many assumed the move was the first of many banned accounts Musk is predicted to restore as a vocal supporter of ‘free speech’.
