‘I’ve gotten to know my vagina well over the last 42 years’

Christina Aguilera has opened up about her sex life, admitting that she’s discovered new things about herself as she’s aged.

The 42-year-old singer is the co-founder of lube brand Playground, which promises to go ” beyond sight and touch with full-sensory libido-enhancing products that stimulate your body and mind.”

The product comes (pardon the pun) in four different formulas: Love Sesh, Date Night, Mini Escape and After Hours.

As she’s launched the brand, the ‘Beautiful’ singer has spoken openly about her own sex life in an effort to empower other women to “feel comfortable” talking about their own experiences with sex.

Speaking to People in a recent interview, Aguilera revealed that as she’s got older, she’s learnt more and more about her body – and this has led to some real benefits.

She told the magazine: “This is a very natural progression for me, personally.

“[I hope to] inspire other women to feel comfortable with talking about their experiences and owning their body and their sexuality and what that means to them, because every woman is different.”

She went on to say that more “pleasure points” have opened up for her as she’s aged.

She said: “I’ve gotten to know my vagina well over the last 42 years. And literally there are pleasure points that keep opening up as you get older.

“And that’s something that I’ve really noticed. There’s four different places that I can orgasm from around my vagina, and that is the truth.”

Christina explained that she sees her sex life as a key part of her overall wellbeing, but added that this isn’t just limited to sex with other people.

She continued: “Even if you don’t have a partner, you can have your own date night with yourself, so I kind of love that about it. We travel. We don’t always have access to other people.

“Get to know yourself early so that you can lead a more pleasurable life.”

The singer’s claims about discovering new “pleasure points” are backed up by sex experts as well.

Sexologist Danielle Simpson-Baker told Buzzfeed that as we age, some areas may become “less sensitive and push us to explore others.” Danielle explained that when you add this to the fact that “we gain more knowledge about our bodies as we get older,” it makes sense that people can gain “more knowledge on how to derive pleasure from them as we get older.”

Because of this, Danielle noted that many women say they feel more satisfied in their sex lives as they get older.
