Camera-shy boy couldn’t be more against having his school photo taken

School photo boy

One for the album

A camera-shy boy showed just how far he was willing to go to avoid having his picture taken – by covering his face for his school photo.

It looks like it takes more than ‘say cheese’ to get 12-year-old Robbie Ross to put on a smile for a picture.

His mum Zoe Ross was left with a surprise when she opened up the sample images sent to her last week and realised the only one available to buy concealed his face.

But she saw the funny side of the picture.

“I burst out laughing as soon as saw it – everyone in the family was laughing,” bar worker Zoe said.

“I forgot it had even been photo day until I received the previews.

“I was thinking at the start ‘oh no, this is his first year photo, what has he done?’

“But we always knew he never liked his photo being taken – so now I’m just seeing it as one to keep.”

She said Robbie, from Clermiston in Edinburgh, “likes to be funny and random – he’s very confident and he’s always been like that!”

Despite his confidence, he’s no fan of having his picture taken.

And Zoe has thought of a good use for it when Robbie is a bit older – vowing to put it on his 18th birthday cake.

Well, it’s relatable for lots of people and certainly shows his cheeky personality, so as far as school pictures go, it’s a keeper we reckon.
