Bald man spends thousands to have hair tattooed on his head

“My wife lets me in the bed now.”

A man who spent thousands of pounds to have countless tiny dots tattooed on his head says his wife absolutely loves his new look.

Anthony Donnellan, 44, was debating a hair transplant but opted instead for ‘scalp micro-pigmentation’ which is the process of tattooing permanent small dots which recreate the look of hair.

Typically, the procedure takes three dedicated sessions of three hours each, allowing the head to heal between each sitting.

After his final session was completed at Final Chapter Tattoos in Hyde, Manchester, Anthony says he’s been left with a complete boost in confidence and that it was ‘worth the pain’.

Speaking about his experience, Anthony said: “My hair started falling out in my bald spot and I thought I’d try it and I’m glad I did. “I’ve seen a few bad jobs of it but Dean – the tattoo artist – has done a great job.

“It can be a bit irritating whilst you’re getting it done, but it’s definitely worth the pain. It’s boosted my confidence loads. I’m over the moon with it. I feel 21 again.”

Anthony also joked: “My wife lets me in the bed now – I don’t have to sleep on the couch. She was delighted with it.”

His wife, Sian, even made a comment herself, saying that Anthony’s confidence ‘has completely grown’.

She said: “He used to walk around with a hood and cap and you can just see he’s beaming now.”

Good man Anthony. Everybody deserves to walk with a spring in their step.
