A quarter of women think about housework during sex

At least you know she’s not thinking about someone else?

While men are often accused of being emotionally distant, a recent survey has revealed that a quarter of women think about housework and chores while having sex.

A study commissioned by sex toy retailer UberKinky has revealed the sex habits of Brits, which makes sense given that we are the most sex-obsessed country on the planet.

They found that 26 per cent of women think about household chores and tasks while having sex – so next time you are getting down and dirty, just know she is actually thinking about decluttering your junk draw. This increases to 37 per cent for women classed as boomers, while Gen X ladies are more likely to think about an ex-partner.

If we put gender aside, thinking about chores is still the highest percentage, beating out the likes of ex-partners, friends and celebrities.

On this interesting set of data, UberKinky’s sex and relationships expert, Ruby Payne, said: “When life can get on top of us, it’s not out of the ordinary to find our minds drifting, even in the most intimate moments.

“If you find yourself zoning out too much and thinking of others, it may be time to revitalise your sex life and work on a deeper connection.

“Find the time to get intimate in other ways, not just sex, to strengthen the relationship. Then you could experiment and play around with sex toys and lingerie to find out what makes you both tick. It could just be some simple role play. There’s always room for improvement and there’s always something to learn when it comes to our sexual needs as people grow and change.”
