The right attitude

A pub and restaurant in the States has been massively praised for this thoughtful note.

Customer Paula Grzelak-Schultz shared the note on Facebook writing:

“I thought I was getting in trouble for leaving my car in front of the entryway to the pub.”

In truth, the note was praising her for her decision not to drive home.

It read:

“I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving.”

The pub enclosed a voucher for chicken wings as a sign of appreciation.

“Please accept this as a thank you for being responsible,” the note read.

Jay McLean, managing partner of Original Joe’s Sherwood Park spoke to Global News.

“With OJ’s, it’s all about community and I thought this was the perfect way to impact my community,” he said.

“They came here and they chose to spend some of their few precious free minutes with us,” he said. “I just hope they feel appreciated and thanked for not getting behind the wheel.

The post on Facebook has been shared over 7,000 times.

The note in full reads:

“Just wanted to thank you for leaving your car parked overnight. I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving. Enclosed is a voucher good for 1lb of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept this as a thank you for being responsible. Life is valuable, have a great weekend.”
