A new Mario Kart game has been teased

Nintendo recently revealed the much-anticipated Switch 2 console – and now fans think the first bundle details have leaked.

During the trailer for the new console there was an easter egg at the end of the video that revealed a potential new Mario Kart game.

The sneak peek featured all the classic characters like Mario, Luigi and Peach racing around a new desert circuit called the Mario Bros. Circuit.

As well as being the launch title for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console, the game is rumoured to be available as a bundle title as well.

Shpshal Nick took to X/Twitter to say they’ve heard rumours on the Nintendo Switch 2’s price, and that there will potentially be two options for consumers on launch day.

They said: “So if the person who told me June release is all but confirmed to be correct, then that could mean the pricing they gave me of $449/$499USD might also be correct. Think the $50 extra is a Mario Kart Bundle.”

So, in the UK this might be around the £400 price mark, with £450 including the new Mario Kart game, but prices are yet to be confirmed by Nintendo and the likes of AmazonGAME and Currys.

We’ll keep you updated with all the latest pre-order and pricing details for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, which is expected in summer 2025.

When can I pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2?

The Nintendo Switch 2 console has not yet been released but shoppers can pre order the new console already after one retailer launched a 1p pre order option.

Fans can register their interest in pre orders on the Shopto website here and pay just 1p to secure their spot.

The deal has seen huge numbers of gamers sign up, with Shopto forced to limited pre orders to one per person to meet demand.

Can I still get the original Nintendo Switch?

If you’re not too bothered about the latest model and are hoping that the prices of the original Nintendo Switch and the OLED model are going to drop following the new release then that’s also a possibility.

Currently the Nintendo Switch is priced at £249, which is about £30 cheaper than its launch price, while the OLED is £270, which is £10 cheaper than its launch price.

They’ll both be ones to watch following the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 as you might be able to get some deals, including bundles featuring a game.
