Call of Duty announce Battle Royale mode in Black Ops 4

There's a map 15,000x bigger than the average COD landscape

Antoine Griezmann’s interest is believed to have piqued.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will contain a brand new game mode – ominously titled ‘Blackout’ – and it may, it may just have a little something to do with the increasingly popularity of the free-to-play multiplayer phenomenon Fortnite, which has even taken over the lives of England internationals Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

Obviously Treyarch want a piece of the action, and have decided to throw literally everything they have into the new mode, which will see an unkown number of players dropped into a last man standing battle royale. Land, sea and air vehicles will all be available, along with the infamous ‘Zombies’ mode’s characters, weapons and power-ups.

There will even be a special arena for it all, 15,000 larger than the average Call of Duty map. As of yet, other details have not been released, but the news has got fans excited ahead of the October 12 release this year. And yes, ‘Blackout’ will be available from launch.

Will Fortnite be taking the L once the new game drops? Probably not, unless Treyarch decide to release the game for free.
