Tottenham Hotspur survived two nailbiting VAR decisions against Manchester City in the Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur have gone through to the semi-finals of the Champions League, thanks to two late VAR appeals. First, Fernando Llorente put the ball into the City net on 73 minutes, as he appeared to turn it in with his hip. However, it was not clear if his hand had connected with the ball, so the decision went to VAR. After a dramatic few minutes however, referee Cüneyt Çakir awarded the goal to make it 4-4 on aggregate, with Spurs having the lead on away goals. https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1118615156219678720 Deep into injury time they appeared to be heading into the semi-finals - until Raheem Stirling looked like he had completed his hat-trick. But in a plot-twist to end all plot-twists - and this was a game that had its fair share of plot-twists, VAR judged Sergio Augero to have been offside for the goal. https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1118623015573520384
