Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 will feature a host of Inter legends that will make old school PES fans very happy

Wil Jones

A PES legend

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer had lost the licence to feature the Champions League in the game. Despite this, the 2019 version of the game was still excitedly revealed, featuring improved visuals, and an overhauled myClub mode. But biggest of all was the inclusion of David Beckham as a playable character – a big name signing to make up for the loss of the Champions League. They also announced a partnership with Rangers.

The game is due out at the end of this month – and now Konami has revealed that a host of Internazionale legends will be coming to the game.

Youri Djorkaeff, Esteban Cambiasso, Alvaro Recoba and Adriano are all “coming soon” to Pro Evolution Soccer.

That last name will get old school PES players particularly excited – back in the day, Adriano was a legendary player on Pro Evolution, arguably even more so than he was IRL.

His stats in the game also reflect that – he has an incredible Shot Power of 99.

Konami did not say if the players will be included in the regular version of the game, or be DLC – just that they were “coming soon”.

The official PES Twitter teased the reveal with some sweet PS2 nostalgia.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is out on August 30th.
