Tricky return to the Premier League on the cards for Norwich…

The fixtures for the 2021/22 Premier League season have been released, with Tottenham vs Manchester City the standout tie from the opening weekend.

The season will kick off on the weekend of 14-15 August, and Pep’s defending champions will kick-off the defence of their title with a trip to Spurs.

There are home fixtures for all three of the newly-promoted sides, with Watford hosting Villa, Norwich hosting Klopp’s Liverpool, and Brentford facing fellow Londoners Arsenal in their first ever Premier League match.

Norwich could be set for a difficult start to the season Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal in their first four fixtures, whilst it’s also looks like it will be a challenging start to the season for European champions Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel’s side face trips to Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, along with hosting Manchester City, all within their first six games.

Also on the opening weekend, which could see the full return of fans to stadiums for the first time since the start of the pandemic, there is a Roses clash between old foes Manchester United and Leeds at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men don’t face an of their traditional ‘big six’ rivals until October 16 in what looks on paper to be a very kind start for the Red Devils.

There will be fireworks in Manchester when the city’s two clubs face-off against each other on 6 November, with the first major derby of the season set to take place on 25 September when Arsenal play Spurs at the Emirates. The first Merseyside derby is pencilled in for 30 November when Everton play Liverpool at Goodison Park.

On the final day of the season, Chelsea, Leicester, Liverpool and Manchester City will all enjoy home advantage, facing Watford, Southampton, Wolves and Aston Villa respectively.
