Mkhitaryan thinks he’s found a ‘proper footballing home’ at Arsenal and two stats backs that up

Settling in well to his new club.

In terms of the Mkhitaryan-Sanchez deals, both Arsenal and Manchester United might argue that they’ve got the better end of the deal. Either way, Wenger and Mourinho will be very happy with their respective signings after both players announced themselves to their home crowds in impressive manners.

While Sanchez opened his Manchester United account during their 2-0 win against Huddersfield, Mkhitaryan was the architect and Everton’s tormentor-in-chief as his hat-trick of assists helped to destroy The Toffees at the Emirates.

Gunners fans have renewed hope that Mkhitaryan reuniting with Aubameyang could be the catalyst that kick-starts their inconsistent season. This being said, the recent defeat to Swansea is proof that Arsenal still have some massive problems to sort out.

After the game, the former Borussia Dortmund man said that he instantly clicked with Arsenal’s attacking style – then again, most players would look like worldbeaters against Everton during that first-half.

Regarding the reunion with the Gabon striker, Mkhitaryan said: “Yeah, I’m very happy for that, not only because I assisted Auba but also Aaron. I think it was a well-deserved win, we have to keep doing the same for the next games and get more points.”

When asked if he found a “proper footballing home’ at the Emirates and a style that suits him, the playmaker said: “Yes, of course. We’ve played good attacking football in the first-half. Second-half was a bit hard because we’re leading 4-0 and we’re not very focused.  I can say I really like the way that Arsenal plays and I’ll try to do my best.”

This hat-trick of assists means that the Armenian is the first Arsenal player to provide three or more assists in a Premier League game since 2013.

Again, it’s worth noting that Everton were very poor but this is an impressive start to his Arsenal career.

If he can keep up this type of form, Arsenal fans will be very happy.
