Liverpool has unveiled their white away kit for the 2019/20 season.

Images of the shirt had previously leaked online, but now New Balance has made an official reveal.

According to the official release, the jersey “draws graphic inspiration from the iconic street signs visible around Anfield stadium”.

Last season’s grey and purple kits meant that there was no white away kit for the 2018/19 season, but there will be a return to tradition next year, with an almost exclusively white shirt.

The official description continues: “The navy trim also features the signature of Bob Paisley OBE on the inside of the neck, with the collar construction inspired by the Club’s 1977 European Cup winning strip, worn on that victorious night in Rome, with Paisley at the helm.

“A bonded chest seam gives the jersey comfort, while a mesh structure across the shoulders aids breathability and airflow. A ventilation zone is integrated into the front body fabric.

“The kit is completed with navy shorts, and white socks complimented with a lower navy section and team red trim.”

It’s the first time since the 2015/16 season that the Reds have had a white away kit, with black, luminous green, purple and grey being the choices in recent seasons.
