There have been some notorious footballer’s haircuts down the years – from David Beckham’s cornrows, to Ronaldo’s bit at the front, to Ivan Perisic having the Croatian flag on his scalp.
But we expect them from the players – not the officials.
Referee’s assistant Simon Beck got a lot of attention on social media during Monday night’s clash between West Ham United and Liverpool. Partially, that was because he missed James Milner appearing to be in an off-ide position for Liverpool’s opener.
