Jurgen Klopp lists his six favourite teams to watch

Three German clubs, two Premier League rivals and Barcelona, obviously

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has revealed the six other football teams he enjoys watching when he gets the chance in a recent interview with Austrian/German sports streaming service DAZN.

Unsurprisingly, half of the teams are German – with his two former employers Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 both listed.

He also cites Werder Bremen, who were very unfortunate to be knocked out of the DFB Pokal Semi-Finals on Wednesday by Bayern Munich, as a team he likes to keep an eye on.

“Whenever I have time I like to watch Dortmund because I’m still connected with them,” Klopp told DAZN.

“Bremen I like to watch as well, but also Mainz – with them I’m still connected too. I also think it’s impressive the way they play under Sandro Schwarz.”

Closer to home, he cites Premier League rivals Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur as two more clubs he enjoys seeing play, presumably only when they’re not up against Liverpool.

Unsurprisingly, Barcelona also make the cut, perhaps due to the fact that they have the best player in the world playing for them. Or maybe he just really, really enjoys the unique shithousery of Arturo Vidal. We can only speculate.

“Furthermore there are three teams: Man City, Barcelona and Tottenham. I always like to watch them,” he added.

Klopp’s viewing habits should put him in good stead as Liverpool prepare to face Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Nou Camp on Wednesday, with either Spurs or Ajax awaiting in the final should they overcome Messi, Suarez and co.
