McDonald’s Monopoly game returns to restaurants nationwide on September 4th and today the fast-food chain has announced a host of huge prizes that will be up for grabs.
Following the news that the Monopoly game promotion will return to all McDonald’s restaurants on Wednesday 4th September, under license from leading toy and game company Hasbro, McDonald’s promises ‘something for everyone’ in this year’s selection of prizes.
The top prize of £100K cash will be available to win for five lucky customers, and a second top prize of a brand new MINI Electric Car also available for 21 players.
Meanwhile, 90 customers will get the chance to win a £2k Jet2holiday while 100 people will have the chance to win £1,000 of cash.
There are also 2,000 McDonald’s Gold Cards available through the app which gives holders one free meal every week for a whole year.
Other prizes up for grabs include over 6,000 Virgin Experience Day vouchers worth £100, 2 night Best Western Stay for 300 players, and over 300 Merlin Annual Passes for four people.
All of that is in addition to the millions of instant food wins and rewards points plus the thousands of pieces of McDonald’s merchandise.
The much-loved promotional game was launched back in 2005 and fans were delighted that it returned once again this year.
It works in a similar way to the classic MONOPOLY board game as customers collect game pieces from menu items such as fries, wraps and drinks which gives them the chance to win prizes.
By peeling off the game pieces from these items, customers can instantly win free food or collect property pieces of the same colour for a bigger prize.
Other instant win prizes include gaming headsets, Moonpig flowers and cinema tickets.
