Nate Diaz only needed one second to prove the UFC made a huge mistake broadcasting him

This came directly after Derrick Lewis dropped the b-word

Whenever Nate Diaz shows up anywhere, entertainment is guaranteed.

During the live broadcast of UFC Austin, Derrick Lewis and Nate Diaz gave the broadcasters a tough couple of minutes to deal with.

Lewis scored an absolutely stunning third-round knockout over Marcin Tybura in the co-main event. It was a vintage performance from the ‘Black Beast’ in that his skills looked unrefined, he gassed out fairly quickly, it was far from pretty but was massively entertaining.

After getting a knockdown in a first round that had a staggering number of momentum shifts, Lewis dropped the second after being controlled on the ground following a takedown. He managed to grit it out until the end of the round, leaving them level heading into the final round.

Just when he looked like he had nothing left in the gas tank, Lewis started swinging the leather. A big left was swiftly followed by a huge right. Tybura’s gameness couldn’t cope with the force and Lewis eventually put him away with strikes on the mat.

Anyone who follows the UFC religiously will know that there’s a certain word beginning with the letter ‘B’ that’s completely off limits. When the likes of Eddie Alvarez have a fight coming up in the Octagon, you’ll always hear it replaced by two words – another organisation.

However, Lewis just couldn’t help himself. When former Bellator commentator Jimmy Smith stepped in to interview him, he had to mention that ‘b’ word.

“That’s the way I fight. I know you’re new to the game, coming over from Bellator but that’s the way I do it baby.”

Before signing off, Lewis warned his ‘baby April’ to get ready because he planned on ‘going deep’. Then to cap it all off, the cameras cut to Nate Diaz in the crowd before quickly cutting away from Nate Diaz in the crowd.

The cameras remained on the Stockton native for all of five seconds.

After noticing he was being broadcast, Diaz pulled out a blunt and put it in his mouth.

Broadcasters Fox Sports 1 managed to cut away just as he was about to spark his lighter, but not before the internet had lots of fun over the cameo.
