Filming on the third Kingsman movie is underway, and there have been some major changes in the cast.

The next instalment in the franchise –  reportedly titled Kingsman: The Great Game – is believed to a prequel, set in the past and has even been described as a “period drama”.

That means Taron Egerton’s Eggsy won’t be the main focus – and some big names are taking his place.

Leading the additions is Kick-Ass himself, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of UltronNocturnal Animals)

Joining him is the great Gemma Arterton (St Trninans,  Prince of Persia: The Sands of TimeHansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Girl With All The GiftsTamara Drewe)

Other names in the stacked cast, as reported by Collider, include Tom Hollander (Bird Box), Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man), Daniel Brühl (Captain America: Civil War), Alison Steadman (Orphan Black),Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond), Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter), and Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones).

The new film started shooting last month in the UK, with Matthew Vaughn back in the director’s chair.

The prequel will reportedly show the “history of the world through the eyes of Kingsman”.

The script for the second sequel is also close to being finished, and Vaughn looks likely to start shooting a few months after finishing up the prequel.
