Zac Efron is almost unrecognisable in his role as Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
The High School Musical star has entered a new stage of his acting career, portraying the serial killer. The film tells the tale of Bundy's horrific crimes from the perspective of his girlfriend, Liz, played by Lily Collins.
John Malkovich also stars in the film, playing the role of Judge Edward Cowart, who oversaw Bundy's televised trial and sentenced him to death in 1979.
It seems like Efron is enjoying the challenge in a new genre, as he posted another picture of himself on set on Saturday, offering fans a window into what goes on behind the scenes.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Efron said: "Ted Bundy is going to be a challenge. I think it's going to be different and it's going to be fun. I'm super stoked."
His enthusiasm for the role is clear to see from his keen Instagramming of himself in character, and it's certainly a challenge for an actor who has been consistently cast in similar rom-com movies.
Unfortunately, there is no official release date for the film. It's meant to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May but it's not clear when filming will be wrapped. You'd imagine Zac Efron will let us know on Instagram, though.
